Tai Hang Community and Cultural Heritage Guided Tour

DESCRIPTION

Tai Hang’s vibrant community life and cultural heritage are hidden gems within the city. Seasoned broadcaster Audrey Yip will lead participants into the heart of the neighbourhood, exploring the close connections between traditional festivals and community history, and tracing how the area evolved from a traditional Hakka village into the diverse and close-knit living community it is today.

As participants stroll through streets and alleys filled with everyday warmth, they will explore how long-standing traditions such as the Fire Dragon Dance have been passed down amid the rapid pace of urbanisation. The tour will look closely at the neighbourhood bonds, everyday stories and cultural heritage that have shaped the distinctive character of Tai Hang today.

Join us to experience the warmth of this community and understand the important value of its cultural heritage.
