Miniature Tai Hang Fire Dragon Crafting Workshop
DESCRIPTION
Wandering through the small lanes of Tai Hang, one can almost still hear the resounding gongs and drums of the century-old Fire Dragon Dance. Legend has it that this Fire Dragon, crafted together by villagers and chasing the glowing “dragon pearl”, has quietly watched over this valley, bringing happiness and peace to the neighbourhood.
The workshop will lead participants to experience first-hand the craft and charm of Fire Dragon making. Combining a traditional crafted framework with contemporary craft materials, it invites participants to rediscover this folk craft that carries the memories of Tai Hang. Even without any hands-on craft experience, participants can craft their own miniature Fire Dragon by hand within two hours, bringing home the festive light, shadows and blessings of Tai Hang.
